Artistic Creativity in Contemporary Interior Design is based on Analyzing the Features of Islamic Decorative Elements

Abstract

  The Islamic heritage is full of many authentic artistic treasures, which have shaped Islamic art's features and their unique character throughout the ages. They are Islamic decorative forms. One of the most creative arts unique to the Muslim artist is the decoration of contemporary interior design. The research aims to study Islamic decoration types and analyze Islamic decorative elements' features to produce creative artistic designs for modern interior design. The research followed the descriptive analytical approach to describe the decorative units and analyze the features of the Islamic decorative elements. The study followed the experimental approach by analyzing a decorative unit and clarifying aesthetic values ​​through the characteristics of Islamic decorative elements and their application in contemporary interior design. The study reached several results, the most important of which is artistic creativity in contemporary interior design, by revealing the aesthetic values ​​of the features of Islamic decorative elements used in design. The Muslim artist has ample knowledge of the origins of decoration and how to link them into a creative decorative fabric to achieve compatibility between authenticity and contemporaneity in contemporary interior design. Islamic decorations played a significant role in giving Islamic art a unique character and an independent character that distinguished it from other arts. Among the most important recommendations of the study are the following: Moving towards an in-depth analysis of Islamic decorative elements to analyze and discover the solutions that may help in reaching new dimensions and visions in interior design that ensure continuing the path towards the future and keeping pace with the modern era and conducting more structural studies and formation of Islamic decorative elements to open horizons for designers and those interested in producing innovative designs in the field of interior design.
