This research examines the role of cultural diversity management in the workplace through an empirical field study conducted among employees of Alsumaria TV, an independent Iraqi media organization whose workforce is based in Iraq, Lebanon, and the United Arab Emirates. The study aims to analyze the impact of cultural diversity management on organizational culture and organizational innovation within the organization and to test a set of research hypotheses concerning this relationship.
The theoretical framework adopts a descriptive-analytical approach based on a comprehensive review of relevant Arabic and international literature. The empirical component employs a quantitative methodology by administering a questionnaire to a sample of employees working at Alsumaria TV’s three locations to statistically examine the relationship between the dimensions of cultural diversity and the indicators of organizational innovation. The theoretical review suggests that cultural diversity can serve as a significant source of innovation when effectively managed through inclusive leadership and a supportive organizational culture. Conversely, when left unmanaged, it may become a source of conflict and an organizational barrier.
The study identifies a research gap arising from the absence of a direct quantitative examination of the relationship between the dimensions of cultural diversity and organizational innovation indicators within an Arab media organization employing a multinational workforce. The empirical aspect of this research seeks to address this gap by testing statistically verifiable hypotheses, with the ultimate objective of providing practical recommendations for Alsumaria TV and other media organizations operating in similar contexts.
