Children's Literature in the Modern Era and its Role in Establishing Educational, Religious, and Social Values

Abstract

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, who grants His knowledge to whomever He wills among His servants. Peace and blessings be upon the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers, our Master Muhammad, upon him be the best of prayers and peace. The trustworthy Messenger who conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, and advised the nation.

Childhood is one of the most important stages in a person's life. It is the period with the greatest influence on the entire course of life, during which all the basic characteristics of the human personality are formed and its features are defined. It is the first seed for building the nation's future. Children are the wealth of the present and the future of any society that plans to build humanity and affirm its cultural communication with the world. Adults describe children's literature, but it is children who write its immortality. Children's literature is as ancient as humanity's ability to express itself and as modern as the story or song we hear today. It contributes significantly to the transmission of human heritage and experiences from one generation to the next. Children's literature is like vitamins that nourish the mind; a child's mind and imagination require different types of it, each nurturing a different aspect of their thinking and feeling. Therefore, those who write children's literature should not limit their writing to a single field or genre.
